SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 22, 1999--IDT (Nasdaq:IDTI - news)
today announced that Anne Tamura Katz, vice president of U.S. assembly and test operations, has
received the YWCA's Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) Award for her outstanding
contribution to IDT and the local community. The TWIN Awards Program is designed to honor
women who exemplify excellence in executive level positions, and have made outstanding
contributions to their companies and the San Francisco Bay Area's economic and social growth. In
addition to honoring Katz at its TWIN Awards dinner, the YWCA will also recognize IDT for
creating and expanding opportunities for women in management positions.

a role model for all of our employees,'' said Len Perham, president and chief executive officer for
IDT. ''Her strong character and extensive experience have made her a steadying force behind our

Katz brings more than 16 years of assembly, test and packaging experience to IDT. Her current
responsibilities include overseeing domestic assembly and test operations, as well as worldwide
assembly and test strategy for the company. Katz joined IDT in 1990 as engineering supervisor of
packaging process development. She then served as director of assembly operations and
engineering, where she defined and directed strategy for IC assembly, in addition to managing 12
assembly locations in the U.S. and Asia. Her experience prior to IDT includes engineering and
management positions at Amkor Electronics, Saratoga Semiconductor and Signetics Corp. She
earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University.
Katz and IDT will be honored at the TWIN Awards dinner ceremony on Tuesday, March 23 at the
San Jose Fairmont Hotel at 7:00 p.m., following a reception at the YWCA's Villa Nueva in San
Jose. This year's theme, ''Gems of the Industry,'' pays tribute to the multi-faceted and invaluable
