Dynamex Launches Internet-Based Ordering and Tracking Systems; Firm Leads Industry in E-Service Introduction
DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 22, 1999--Dynamex Inc. (Nasdaq:DYMX), a leading provider of same-day transportation and distribution solutions, announced today the release of its Internet services package, dxNow(tm). Dynamex becomes the first national same-day company to offer a comprehensive e-commerce ordering and shipment tracking capability.
Customers can enter mission-critical delivery requests 24 hours a day, 365 days per year at dynamex.com and anticipate immediate delivery to business addresses in the U.S. and Canada. Markets included in the initial launch are New York, Seattle, Columbus, Kansas City, Memphis, San Diego, San Francisco, Ottawa, Phoenix, Vancouver, Toronto, Winnipeg, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. Customers participating in the rollout include Hewlett-Packard, Southwestern Bell, and Ingram Micro.

VALUE ADDED SERVICES
dxNow(tm) is designed to provide the services and information that the customers expect from their same-day transportation provider including price quotes, on-line order entry, order status, shipment visibility, electronic payment, and real-time proof of delivery. An intuitive navigation structure minimizes the number of mouse clicks separating customers from the information they need. Customers can access detailed information on shipment status and obtain instant price quotes for their mission critical transportation needs.
In placing an order, customers can select one of two on-line options to pay for their order -- credit card or a corporate account -- and can then electronically submit a secure order to Dynamex.
CUSTOMER FOCUSED
Throughout the site, dxNow(tm) offers capabilities and content to its customers, including large commercial accounts, regional and national accounts, as well as small and medium-sized businesses.
For instance, Dynamex is developing a number of on-line programs for several of its high volume commercial customers, such as password protected sites that are customized for a specific account. These sites provide quick access to critical information including specialized management reports, order status, real-time tracking and tracing, proof of delivery information, and customer related information.
