Turbo tax cannot import short sales directly from Quicken. These must entered manually. After a few frustrating hours going through each and every trade on the schedule D, I ended up trashing quicken for my trading accounts and using an excel spreadsheet to record trades.
I created a turbo tax .TXF file from the excel data and imported it directly into the schedule D. worked perfectly. i've now abandoned quicken for all stock transactions until it can handle short sales & options in a clean fashion.

I'd be interested to hear in Intuit plans on improving the portfolio module in quicken.

Good Luck,

Gregg
