Well it looks as though Barnes has broken below the 20 area mentioned in my last post. With the stock now at sub-17, I have begun to initiate a position in Barnes this morning. The 4.2% dividend yield looked too good to pass up. This one might take a bit of time to turn around, but IMO getting into it in the 16 5/8 range should prove to be a good investment for patient investors.

The Annual Meeting of Stockholders of Barnes Group Inc. will be held at Associated Spring Headquarters, Winding River Office Park, 80 Scott Swamp Road, Farmington, Connecticut 06032, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 1999, for the following purposes:

Item. 1. to elect three directors for a three-year term;

Item. 2. to ratify the selection of independent accountants for 1999; and

Item. 3. to transact any other business that lawfully may come before the meeting or at any adjournment thereof.
Stockholders of record at the close of business on February 16, 1999 will be entitled to vote at the meeting.
