you only lose a "buttload" as you quaintly put it, by closing a position...for most, unless you are a mutual fund with constant fresh cash inflow this causes investment capital to dwindle...sell at a dell low, buy at an aol high...reverse of what you should be doing...oh well..i will stay with the plan, buy more dell and intc today and go down with the sinking ship...didn't drown on 10/28/97, survived 10/8/98 when dell gapped down 22 on the open...can you seriously think today is worse than those days...bought at 43 pre split on 10/8/97...now 21.5 post split...where will we end today...who knows, who cares...put everything in the proper perspective...good luck ed a.
