Anyone who followed his 7/7/98 VVUS upgrade has suffered much "Paine". On 7/7/98 with VVUS @ 6 7/8, Charlie O of Paine Webber upgraded VVUS to buy from neutral because "scripts are starting to turn and the new plant was approved". Since that date VVUS has declined 45% and scripts have "turned down" by 20%. www3.techstocks.com I am always concerned about following the advice of a broker such as Paine Webber who also serve as a market maker for a company.
