I think these companies like Siemens, etc...are in a poker game here just dishing out cash cash cash for these companies and when one buys a start up or established player, then it is the next guy's turn to counter... Please counter with FORE....I would be surprised if Cisco jumped into the fray "just to do so" unless they really feel that ATM will be the dominant force for the next couple of years. Or until IP is mature enough with their product set as they have been spending bucks on this already...perhaps they continue to lose too many deals like the UUnet's etc...
