In the audio industry, Zoran's AC-3 chips don't have the same audio quality as the Motorola chips. The Zoran AC-3 processors that I have heard sound only slightly better than standard Dolby Pro-Logic. However, the Motorola chips sound spectacular. Now, maybe Zoran has upgraded there chips, or maybe the samples that I have heard are just poor examples, but I have read several comments from audio magazines that certain manufactures are moving to the Motorola chips because of quality.
