To buy a 1000 shares of Bid.Com by calling the Green Line would cost me $0.04/share plus $35.00 commission. Now that I've got Green Line web broker, those same 1000 shares are a straight $0.03/share or $30.00. I just saw a commercial on CNBC TV where this guy bought some shares on the Internet at a cost of US$8.00 (Cdn. $12.00) and he said this was his first on-line transaction. Before that he said "it would have cost him US$200.00 per transaction from his broker.!!! That's the type of stuff (200.00 down to 8.00) that's going to get everyone excited in the stock market, the demand for shares will go through the roof.!!!!
