I hope that this is overly pessimistic but:

cbs.marketwatch.com

"Shares of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) saw no change Monday despite being lowered by BancBoston Robertson Stephens. Analysts Dan Niles and Arnab Chanda reduced first-quarter earnings per share estimates to a loss of 65 cents from a loss of 27 cents. The analysts believe that AMD's average sales prices will decline under pricing pressure from Intel's (INTC) Celeron chip which is made for the low cost personal computer market. AMD remained flat at 16 1/16.."

The current consensus of estimates is probably several weeks out of date.
