AOL-Netscape-Sun alliance preparing for
platform fight with Microsoft that could
reshape the e-commerce landscape

Sorry, that ain't gonna happen. Microsoft is going to probably distance itself from the ISP business and make it very hard for AOL. Not only that AT&T, @Home and a lot of other ISPs will not use an AOL platform to offer their services. Look for MSFT to exit the MSN Internet Access business so that competitors of AOL will have no reason to choose an AOL platform. Why not choose Microsoft which will just be providing software only.
I would bet on AT&T---much better internet service (i had to switch from AOL because I could not stand it --- did this twice in the last year). AT&T has big plans just like AOL.
