Jean, putting biometrics in as the key to the lock for network communications does defeat just this kind of hacker attack, particularly when encrypted to the highest level. Maybe one hacker, using the best computers, could get through about the time a roomful of monkeys types out "Hamlet."

This is a great advantage of the F3 system: It provides an extra level of security by being able to take the template off-line and out of cyberspace -- out of the reach of potential electronic thieves. The onboard CPU allows the matching to be done at the desktop. In a system like that, the only real risk is that of a traditional traitor at the keyboard, and even that person should not be able to rummage in unauthorized areas. The new area of vulnerability would be with the certificate authorities. They have to adopt the highest level of security protocols, and I'm sure they will.
