I see this as a golden opportunity to pick up the industry sector leader at a firesale price. Fundamentals look good and the technicals are compelling for one ready to risk stepping in on a very early buy (I did today) with the prospect of doubling up a couple of points lower if the opportunity presents itself. This is a classic "Peter Lynch" opportunity (just take a look around your offices), and you can always hedge with options over the short term. I applied the same principle to begin nibbling at DELL today (again, just take a look around your offices). These are value opportunities temporarily out of favor and I believe a little patience will be well rewarded. FYI, I never marry a stock. I look at the company, and if it presents what I perceive to be a value, I'm in until the market says its value has been fully realized (yes, this may be a bit contrarian just now). I believe that is not the case for either company at this time. Compared to the internuts, these are dirt cheap with no changes in their fundamentals. BTW, taking and winning very risky long options positions (many sleepless nights) on some of the internuts (now closed) enabled me to take long positions here. And I'll sleep soundly holding the common on both APCC and DELL at this level.
