Government mapping through the Lac Rocher sheet was conducted with magnetic interpretations verified by limited outcrops. The bulls-eye mag highs are all interpreted as gabbro bodies. I think the gabbro plugs could have originated from one or a number of large buried ultramafic intrusions that injected melts through any of the 4 lithologies on the map - granites, diorites, meta-gneisses, or amphibolites. The best attempt to determine if they could be related is to inspect the gabbroic material from each site under a microscope! This will probably be done as the exploration programs get off the ground!!
