Brumell, whether the gabbro was injected into a cavity or was the remnant of an eroded differentiated intrusive does not change the fact that the granite may have solidified later than the gabbro after it had surrounded the plug leaving a gabbroic-raft that is completely surrounded by the granite and is only a couple of hundred metres deep.

This would mean that the depth potential of any sulphide body is limted.
