Gary, no need to apologize. . .MOST of what gets put on these threads do not meet these 'ideal' standards. Just trying to tailor things a bit. Many here don't realize that I have lists of stocks in a dozen different classifications. . . but without some element to drive them, on paper they sit.
It is not hard to imagine holding a stock that goes nowhere for 6 or more months. The Russell's have sucked [sorry for lack of a more appropriate word]. The broader the index, the worse the performance. . .and I think that nothing will change in the near future.
So the new rule that was put down several months ago, was that small to micro cap stocks must have something to drive them. . .pending earnings, news or otherwise. And that is why we steared away from the undervalued gem picks awaiting discovery. . .and began focusing more on timing plays that rise nicely on news, then fall back like clockwork. . .and event-driven swing trades. . . but even those stocks must be good companies with a future. . .and sitting near the bottom of their trading range.
Yeah, we do things differently around here. . and it is soon going to change again. . . also methods/strategies on the HOME thread are more enforced than those on the FISHING thread.
The high-standards can be a real pain, but they are why this thread just keeps churning along with a minimum of posts, yet a huge number of readers and lurkers. I may be the only one that really knows how many lurkers there are, as I get email every single day from lurkers making their presence known.
And that is why I am not about to allow these recent "threats" to slow us down, but rather incent us to get leaner and meaner.
