bgr...ot internet commerce index....i guess i avoid that which i don't have a feel for...i've disciplined myself only to put money into companies with above average fundamentals...lot of money being made in internets...but at some point as the industry matures there will be a lot of losses...ever look at a long term chart of netscape...internets are for traders..i'd like to think i'm an investor...buffet said it all...two rules to follow: 1)never lose money, 2)never violate rule 1! as far as revenues growth...is a perceived 300m shortfall reason enough to lop off mega billions in market cap...but conversely reward an on line flea market with a mid four figure pe because it is a unique concept? i still believe we will see dell at seventy within the next two quarters...and if not...i would be satisfied with fifty to fifty five year end... i would love to own a company the size of dell with a "meager" revenue growth of 30-40%...i guess that's why i'm a shareholder... what makes people trade in and out with hard earned dollars...would they sell their house and move if they found a neighborhood that was appreciating faster...because it was new...and as it aged and needed a bit of paint here and there...move again...or would they put money into it and build equity, whats the difference??? good night all...a new day is dawning..ed a.
