Is PCMag threatened by the Internet? Their 5/28/96 issue is full of negative attitudes about the Internet. I think they're afraid that they're losing their audience. It's as if they're saying, "Hey, stop paying so much attention to open systems, cross-platform developments, and focus on the latest PC-centric trends. After all, they are "PC" Magazine. This issue just has a peculiar ring to me. Who is their audience? It's like the whole issue from cover to cover is saying, "Forget NSCP and the Internet, WINTEL rules, dude!"
Meanwhile, all of these stocks (NSCP, UUNT, CSCO, MSFT, INTC, GATE,...) keep going higher together. Hmmm... |
