From The Globe:

Bid.Com Bid.Com (BII--TSE)

Tuesday, March 23, 1999

Staff, wires

$7.85, up $1.40
Like a winter cold that won't go away, investors' excitement about Bid.Com came back to life yesterday, apparently on speculation its value will jump after the on-line auction house lists on the Nasdaq Stock Market. The Mississauga-based company said last month it has filed an application to trade on Nasdaq. But enthusiasm about Internet companies has surged recently amid the wildly successful debuts of IVillage Inc. and Cheap Tickets Inc. last week. IVillage, which operates Web sites offering information and news for women, jumped last Friday to $80.13 (U.S.) from its initial public offering price of $24. Bid.Com expects to start trading on Nasdaq by mid-April.
