All another reason Q might be of value to CSCO CISCO OFFERS VOICE FUNCTIONS: Cisco Systems [CSCO] is offering add-on functions for customers who already own one of the equipment-maker's multiservice access routers. The add-ons support voice-over-Internet-protocol and voice-over-frame-relay so that carriers can obtain data packet capabilities without sacrificing voice functions. The add-ons may help Cisco in the race against rivals like Nortel Networks [NT] and other vendors that are counting on carrier loyalty for their circuit-switched voice products to carry over to their data networking offerings. Cisco leads in the data arena but needs to show that its products can handle voice.
