Joan, I thought Ron Elijah's comment about the tech sector being "seasonal" was very interesting. I believe he said there had been a fall selloff in 6 of the past 7 years. Seems like I remember that someone had done some similar analysis on MU showing a fall selloff the past 3 years, but the postings are too long to wade through now. Would be interesting to analyze Ron's hypothesis carefully. Simply put, individual investors should probably follow a strategy of buying tech stocks only in the Fall, when the funds have to lock in their profits, and sell in the summer before they do! This "fall cataclysm" which I first read about in the Unconventional Wisdom column of October Smart Money might have an upside if we learn to take advantage of it!
