Thanks for clearing that up. I've been doing it wrong all these years, I guess. To me, when I'm sitting on the first day of Spring, then "next" Fall has always meant the one that starts in 6 months. But it sounds like "next" doesn't really mean the next one, but the one after that. You've saved me from a continued lifetime of embarrassment. When someone wants to meet with me next Monday, I now know that that doesn't mean the Monday coming up next, but the one after that. And when I'm first in line and the person yells "Next!", that actually means the person behind me.

That explains all the meetings I've missed and the dirty stares I get from the people in line behind me. I've been a fool!!! Geez.
