OPEC is good news for petro companies, but bad news for oil services. I agree that thinking is undergoing a shift. . .but I think that it will take a while . . .maybe a full month, before there is any significant change in climate. . .

I think we will hover around the 9800 - 10k mark for a while. Speculative plays look good. . .Inet buyouts, spin-offs and IPOs look great. . . Broadband wireless, cable, ADSL, set-top appliance makers and the top 20 internets should all do well.

But aside from a few high-techs, the rest of the market has looked weak all year, and should continue with the same.

I would be thinking about dumping idle stocks, as they slowly slip south, and get into a few really aggressive movers, like CNET or ATHM while the going is good. I believe the summer will be long slow and disappointing.

Might be a good idea to research what went UP last summer. . .I envision a repeat. . . maybe even some short plays or something like the Prudent Bear fund for long term shorting thru to about mid-September. . . .at least as a hedge against long-termers. There just isn't a thing to look forward to for this summer that is positive that I can find.

What do you think about the long-term future, William?
