My son is currently going thru the PII vs. PIII dilemma and right now, he's leaning toward the PII. A potential concern would be that PIII is viewed as a "tween" before the RMBS chips are available. So if you're in the PC market now, do you buy the cheaper PII or the PIII? I've spoke with a couple of sales people at Dell and the conclusion that I'm drawing is that the more knowledgeable the buyer, the less attractive PIII is. BTW, one of the issues he is concerned about is the PIII identifier. He doesn't like it at all (even with the "turn off") function and would prefer the PII because of it. Apparently he doesn't feel there is enough performance enhancement with the PIII to justify the additional cost or privacy concern. bp
