Well, the thing to keep in mind is that this really had nothing to
do with Y2K. The NJ government set up a test with REAL CHECKS
and threw the wrong switch, making delivery. The part I loved was that
they are considering "whether to penalize welfare recipients who cashed
in and used their benefits 1 1/2 weeks early". From my standpoint, the
person throwing the switch should be fired, his/her boss, etc., right
up to the governor. But, since we are dealing with the government, the
person throwing the switch will receive a slap on the wrist and NJ
will be free to move on to their next mistake.

Reading that post increased my pulse rate 25%...
