...accordingly...it is interesting q4 'estimates' were not issued in late December/early January...[more/continued] [alleged] newspeak?...it is more likely the delay in q4 '98 numbers is directly tied to Hello Kitty/ELMOs Number Adventure release...q4 numbers were most recently scheduled for 'mid-March' formal release...coincidentally Hello Kitty and ELMOs Number Adventure have been contemporaneously delayed...of which NKC(IF) has no control over...ergo? ELMO/Kitty are driving said press release...so how will this play out?...q4 '98 and q1 '99 first and Hello Kitty/Elmo Number Adventure 2nd?...together?...q1 '99 simply better/must be a blowout in and of itself and q1 '99 v. q1 '98...and if there is any indication that NewKidCo has hit on something big pursuant to q1 '99 numbers new entrants [THQI, HAS, ERTS, AKLM...] could/will [as a given?] 1) come out of the woodwork in force? and with substantial launch/marketing budgets and 2) simply expunge? substantially all? present value in NewKidCo's delay-ridden/undercapitalized pre-schooler/edutainment game console focus [in the eyes and dcf algorithms of 'The Street']...in our opinion...q4 '98 numbers have not been released and it is March 23...this simply is not how it's done with a Company which is serious about establishing credibility with 'The Street' and their shareholders(.)
