Date: Mon, 15 Mar 1999 16:32:34 -0500 From: TKirwin To: Paul Godin <PGodin@Bid.Com> Dear Mr. Godin,
I had previously e-mailed regarding the possibility of conducting live internet auction events via a forum similar to TV onthe WEB ( tvontheweb.com ). The attached news release indicates that this may be a viable option that Bid.com may want to pursue.
Thanks for your time.

Egghead.com to Introduce Live TV and Web Convergence Advertising
Allows Real-Time Web Offers on Live TV
VANCOUVER, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 1999--Egghead.com, Inc. (Nasdaq:EGGS - news) announced that is has begun a year-long program of live TV and Web convergence advertising starting today on ZDTV's popular Internet Tonight program.
The alliance between Egghead.com and ZDTV creates one of the first partnerships of convergence advertising: live television via ZDTV combined with real-time information from Egghead.com's auction Web site.
''The agreement with ZDTV provides maximum flexibility to put up our Web auction promotional offers in real-time. This new approach eliminates the many steps and weeks of delay that it takes to create most typical television advertising. We are now able to get a product in front of a consumer immediately,'' Jon Brodeur, Egghead.com's chief marketing officer said. ''This is a new and exciting way to provide an offer to consumers and businesses.''
Under terms of the agreement, two advertisements for Egghead.com will air during each Internet Tonight television show. During the advertisement, a product from the Egghead.com auction site will be seen live on ZDTV, featuring a special value on computer hardware, software or a variety of consumer products.
The initial implementation will focus on Egghead.com's Web-based auction. However, over the course of the agreement, Egghead will expand its offers to include products at fixed prices particularly bargains from the SurplusDirect liquidation center.
Internet Tonight is a daily, half-hour television program produced by ZDTV, an affiliate of Ziff-Davis. Its core audience consists of computer enthusiasts. Overall, ZDTV reaches more than 11 million households nationwide.
''The launch of the ZDTV advertising is another step in the overall integration of our marketing program into many online and offline categories,'' Brodeur said. ''We believe that Egghead.com is ideally suited to participate as the Internet and television start coming together.''

I am looking forward to seeing your business planunfold. Perhaps Bid.com would be interested in providing live real time auctions via the internet right on the Bid.com web site?
