Some times the "common good" merely means that the interests of those not yet born who cannot represent themselves are taken into consideration by the state. Ayn Rand (yo' momma!)
Ah... I see... so a grouping of cells, (that can not sustain life on their own), take precedence over the person carrying it.
Never mind that in specific circumstances, when the fetus finally is born, the fetus will be born into either poverty, unwanted reception, or drug-addiction, or ignorance, or whatever other combination that may be unfavorable.... condemning both the mother and eventual child to a life of misery... ever perpetrating the stupidity that first originated the conception.
On top of that, the state for sure "knows best" in the realm of personal choices.
No wonder there is a strong correlation between poverty, (particularly in the third world), stupidity, and devotion to religious groups.
