Click on my profile and go to my 50% Gains thread, then go back a few weeks to my last portfolio update. You will see how I rely on some safe core holdings - BRKB, WCOM, XLY - then trade the rest with a healthy stock of shorts right now too.

MMPT fell into what I call the 50% Gains candidates, a stock which is undervalued on an EPS basis or likely to pop on momentum. Value candidates usually get sold after a 50% gain. But the Internuts often keep running so I just hang on for the ride (RNWK from 54, CMGI from 36, VRIO from 28 for example).

I have no idea where the market will stop with MMPT. But I think it will be fun to find out!
