March 25 marketgems.com. You don't have to stop trading on a down day, you just have to look harder. I did mention that when the 'nets calm down it's time to go back to the more 'steady' earnings plays. Another thing is to consider just an intraday or overnight hold. Daytrading on a down day might be a good alternative to holding a swing trade for 2-5 day hold.

2 trading strategies for a down day
1) trading hi flyers that are way off their day lows make for good trades examples Stock # 4, #1, #3 (WL 3/23)

2) Daytrading has a negative image, as if you are scalping 30 times a day for 1/8 point, but a full point or two profit on a down day (MMPT) is not the same. Earnings plays that break out on results of the earnings report or BEFORE the report on anticipation (stock #5 March 25)

Finally if you rather sit on the sidelines than just note the stocks on the watch list that have held up relatively well. When the market returns they should be the first to move up.
