Eicon Serves Another Ace

MARCH 23, 1999
HANOVER, GERMANY--
Eicon Technology announces a host of new features for its award
winning DIVA Server range of ISDN cards. Security, fax and remote
access are all significantly enhanced.
Eicon Technology has added new fax, data and RAS capabilities to
its range of ISDN server cards, making them the complete
end-to-end connectivity solution for small to medium enterprises.
Eicon's server cards include DIVA Server BRI and DIVA Server 4 BRI
for Basic Rate ISDN and the DIVA Server PRI range for Primary RateISDN.
"By adding these new features, we have made our Server cards,
already considered as the best in their class, even better. The
new features make connectivity services more powerful, more cost
effective and even easier to manage." Said Martyn Davies, Eicon's
European Product Manager.
Added features include the Remote Access Manager providing a
powerful set of tools to define user access and session policies
to manage remote connectivity costs more effectively.
The fax server capabilities have been upgraded to included
complete CAPI support making the DIVA Server cards full function
fax servers. New fax features include compression standards,
Modified Read (MR) and Modified Modified Read (MMR), which enable
users to achieve considerable cost savings through increased fax speed.
Fax Polling has been added to allow documents stored on the server
to be retrieved when needed by using specific extension number
when connecting. In addition Dual Tone Multi Frequency is also
supported in order to support touch-tone services used by computer
telephony systems.
Emulation for Class 1 and Class 2 fax modems is also supported via
virtual ISDN modems allowing existing modem-based applications to
be used over an ISDN line.
The Eicon DIVA Server cards are all certified by Security Dynamics
and are therefore fully compatible with the market leading
ACE/Server and SecurID authentication technologies. Notes to Editors
