IMP AND JACO ELECTRONICS FORM POWER PACT

The following press release was published on Business Wire on March 23, 1999: The first three paragraphs of the release state:

SAN JOSE, CA., March 23, 1999 -- IMP, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMPX) today announced that Jaco Electronics of Hauppauge, New York, will distribute IMP Power Management and Data Communications interface integrated circuits in the United States.

"Our Power Management and Data Communications market success rests on offering purchasing agents and design engineers superior service and better performing products," said Barry Wiley, IMP vice president of marketing, sales and applications. "Jaco's customer centered sales strategy and experienced field application engineering staff were key factors in selecting Jaco".

IMP, Inc. complements our extensive Power Management line card very well."

IMP AND ARROW ELECTRONICS AUSTRALIA FORM EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTION PACT

SAN JOSE, CA., March 23, 1999 -- IMP, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMPX) today announced Arrow Electronics Australia Pty. Ltd. will distribute IMP power management and data communications interface integrated circuits in Australia and New Zealand.

"New design activity for power management devices is growing rapidly in Australia and New Zealand. We expect our market share to increase now that IMP can provide same-day application and sales support from our new Asia Pacific sales operation located in Singapore," said Philip Wong, IMP director of Asia/Pacific Sales
