Update on Dell P3 ordered on 3/2/1999: P3 500Mhz ordered via Dell website on 3/2/1999. Original Estimated Ship by Date was 3/23/1999. I received a call today from Dell to inform me that due to an "unexpected delay" the Estimated Ship by Date had been changed to 3/31/1999. I called Dell Service to ask the reason for the delay. Dell customer service told me that the delay is due to a backorder for DVD's. I asked how the P3's have been selling and he says that it seems a lot of people waited for the P3 to appear before ordering their pc. He said things have been "Very hectic, very busy" since Dell began taking orders for P3's. Well, I think they are selling them about as fast as they can make them. Or am I just being optimistic<vbg>? JT
