RE: "could it be a difference in the way Scotia and StockWatch report "lot" sizes?"

You make a good point. I like SW's way of showing quantities on either side in multiples of 1000 shares (eg. size of 2.5 = 2500 shares), no matter the share price. With most quote services including the online brokerages, it's usually by board lot, which can be confusing if the bid/ask are on different sides of the board lot size definition:

Price/Sh Board Lot
0-0.095 1000 shares
0.10-0.995 500 shares
1.00 + 100 shares

I think the above is consistent with all Canadian exchanges (I could be mistaken). Problem is when something has bids, say, under 0.10, and asks over 0.10 -- the board lots on either side do not represent the same multiple of units. (eg. 5 @ 0.08 x 5 @ 0.12 is actually 5000 @ 0.08 x 2500 @ 0.12). SW makes it straight forward and simple (5.0 x 2.5)
