Al Cano: As I mentioned in an earlier post...there is a mgmt problem
at 3com...this problem is centered around benahamou. benahamou placed a pile of "crap" into Claflin"s (COO)lap, knowning quite well of the
inventory situation with the USRX merger. The street will be looking
and listening very closely at the balance sheet report by whomever and especially the inventory factor(s). The biggest problem with 3com right now is...Creditability of their Management ! It is obvious that
their "forecasting model" or "strategy" is extremely flawed! That is what the street is trying to drive into the "stone heads" at 3com ! The street wants to see some "bold" and immediate action relative to
these problems...so far...3com (benahamou) have been mute ! He lacks the necessary Management skills to lead this organization out of the hole he has placed it in. I have talked to contacts on WS and the prevailing viewpoint is...benahamou needs to resign as CEO but remain on the Board. If Claflin (COO) is elevated to CEO...this would be a "positive" and if Claflin finds the right person to fill his position as COO (who has the respect of WS)then we will see a considerable
increase in shareholder value. When one has been labeled as committing an "unforgiveable" action...it basically means "no second chances" for a repeat! benahamou would immediately "fire" a middle/lower mgr if they screwed up big time ! When a General loses a major battle...you better believe that Supreme Command (Hqs) would remove him from his duties and place someone else in Command. The issue here is "Leadership" and it is applicable to mr. benahamou. He is no longer a viable leader...the Board (Supreme Command) should recognize this and stop all this "bloodshed". If they drag their feet...then we will remain at the bottom for quite awhile until "reality" sets in and the Board will be forced to recognize what WS has been saying..."We don't like what we see...time to take bold and decisive action"!

regards,
HK
