Michael! How could you think I would ever be mad at you?! The only things that make me really angry are attacks on people, rather than issues, and arrogance. And you are too good a person to fit either ofthose categories.

Of course you're right about a lot of us being uncomfortable stating our opinions in a public forum. I don't have a problem being politically incorrect, but I'm darned if I'm putting myself out there for the abusive treatment I know I could get for some of my views. Unless I think I can truly effect some change, I don't make myself do it. Debating the categorization of Beethoven with THomas was fun, most other debates make me sick to my stomach. THe only battles I fight with no holds barred are the ones directly involving my children. I admire your willingness to try to change things on a larger scale! Your children are so lucky; I know you'll be right there for them when things go wrong--and they will, even in good settings. Oh, also, I'd probably get sued for saying something illegal or hurting someone's feelings.

I can't tyyupe--I have bandaides all over my fingers from trying to put up curtains today. I screwed two of my fingers into the wall-didn't even notice til I saw the blood dripping down the hardware. I was too busy cursing and yelling at everything. It's pouring down rain, one of my stocks tanked, and I only have 8 functional fingers. Life can be tough, can't it?

I wish we could erase it all and start over; the war just seems so overwhelmingly lost now.
