Ish the reason I posted all of these is because Neocon digs up esoteric info to support his (conservative) position which is opposed to the consensus out here. The fact is, conservatives lost in a huge upset last November which was directed at far right positions on every issue - especially abortion, school vouchers and gun control. The only paper that still has a lot of prior election coverage is the sacbee and every article is full of comments about this. I can find hundreds of articles discussing this if you want. I am not making this up - it was on tons of national talk shows, marketplace had a piece on it, etc. with the general theme that Ca has turned its back on Republican policies. In the past, (when Ca was conservative) the pundits were all too willing to state that Ca was a bellwether for the rest of the country - but now that you don't like what you are hearing, it isn't that?
