Large internet companies start gobbling up price comparison shopping engines:

AMZN acquires Junglee (last summer)
CNET acquires KillerApp (today)

Clearly, companies are placing a high premium on internet-wide price comparison capabilities. MSFT is developing their own version, but it won't be out for 6-9 months according to company estimates. Due to the large development time required, don't be surprised to see firms scurry to acquire these capabilities for fear of being left behind.
Who will be next? Perhaps EXGP, which has its engine running now on the WebData.com website? With a market cap of $20 million, this company could be taken over for a price comparable to KillerApp (about $47.25 million at CNET's close today). Any buyer would not only get EXGP's price comparison engine, but also its other technologies. The price of the stock is up about 30% in the last few days. Could something be amiss?
