Ah, if only that were true. But people say it everywhere in one way or another. It isn't pollitically correct to say children need there mothers at home. And of course children may not need fathers at all, you may be completely unnecessary, aside from sperm donation.

The way I see it many of the societal ills that afflict our country stem partly from empty neighborhoods. When I was a kid there was a mom in every house, frequently looking out the window, a local constabulary if you will. They were also a huge pool of intelligent and dedicated labor for charitable and community functions, the kind of functions that no longer exist. Fights were almost always nipped in the bud and one neighbor of ours was particularly vigilant against cursing, and by cursing I mean the dreaded "damn" word.
