Cringe - Re: "I conclude that you still don't know the difference between a chip problem and a motherboard problem." I know AMD has a problem with the Kmart chips booting Win 95 and now Gateway has had a problem with the Kmart chips booting on their motherboards. This is "too coincidental" to be a chance problem. Look for further problems to blow up in AMD's face. Paul
