HOUSEWIFE TALK-MEN MAY SKIP THIS POST Oh yeah?? Well, I scored a real coup today! If I remember correctly you said you aren't the most enthusiastic housekeeper in your neighborhood, so you'll appreciate my excitement. THe mother of the little girl I teach is an immaculate homemaker--you know-the one who vacuums twice a day, and cleans the floorboards with a toothbrush and thinks it's fun?? I'm sure she sprays her daughter with Lysol after they leave my house. So today I tentatively suggested that I trade her a month of lessons for a cleaning once a month and she leaped at it! It seems they've had a decrease in income and she's cutting corners. I'm so excited!! Of course, she was sworn to secrecy not to reveal to anything she finds or sees, and I'm not to tell that she's cleaning houses, so this is great! So I have sunk even lower on the scale of financial worthiness. And God knows my portfolio isn't going to redeem me--speaking of expensive hobbies... Gee, Alexa, what good are we?
