I'll throw this out to everyone, in light of Allen's absence.

I've been noticing some activity regarding Sun's JavaOS, being ported to certain RISC processors like ARM and others. I view this as a potentially bigger threat than Microsoft, if for no other reason that they seem to be more focused to the embedded market currently.

WIND has a strategic relationship with Javasoft, having licensed JavaOS in October, and agreeing to provide development tools and IxWorks through Tornado. I've searched and searched, but can't make heads or tails regarding the specifics of the deal. Anybody have any insight as to the deal, and whether we should fear Sun or welcome them?

Regards.

Jason
