Herbert, We are on the bridge to the twenty first century and listen to what you are saying. I have a big hole in my body and I don't know how to take care of it.

If I just tuned into this world I would think you and the little Missus are on wagon train headed out west to make claim to your land. Just maybe the barber could pour some linament on this thing and keep you on the train...or are we going to have to throw you off at the bridge before we reach the twenty first century.

I posted you in the very begining and I am certainly happy to hear that you don't have cancer. However, what I was trying to say to you before was that because our health care is tied to the HMO's it is our responsibilty to know what is going on with our own health. There seems to be one step missing they forgot to send us to medical school.

I can hear it in your voice I can't bother the doctor they know more are more important than I. I must just be overreacting other people have gone through much more serious surgey than I....com'on now be a man just get a grip you'll get through this. Remember when they kept you in the hospital for about 2 weeks to recover after surgery. Guess what you were taken care of by trained nurses who knew what to do in a situation such as yours.

Let's not forget now your case goes before some clerk who rates your illness by a chart given her by the managed care/insurance company. The CEO of US Healthcare sold the company to Aetna and I think he realized something like 8 mil profit, I don't know if this is correct amount maybe it was more. The doctors are paid not to give you service.

I won't say I feel your pain, but I think I understand your frustration. I think you have the right to good health care and you should demand some answers and get help for your wound.

I might just have to send you a bottle of Jack Daniels to speed your recovery or dull your pain if you don't get some help.

Take care and get well soon. MS
