Steve:

Advest estimates that ATMI will earn $.35 this year 12/31/96 and $.70 next year. At 3% inflation and trading at $14.00 per share ATMI's implicit growth rate is 36%, and based upon the 1997 earnings estimate the implicit growth rate is 18%. For a company with a product profile like ATMI has and in an industry that ATMI participates in, the growth rate for ATMI could very well exceed 70% per year for some time. This means that based upon 1996 earnings estimates a fair price to pay for ATMI would be at least $26.00. I think that by year end we will see this appreciation come to fruition.
