Bre-X Minerals Ltd - NP says U.S. trial date for Bre-X set Bre-X Minerals Ltd BXM Shares issued 219,103,330 1997-05-07 close $0.09 Wednesday Mar 24 1999 The National Post reports in its Wednesday, March 24, edition that jilted American shareholders of Bre-X Minerals will have to wait until June 5, 2000, to get their day in court, says David Folsom, a United States district court judge. The National Post's Briefing column reports that Bre-X shareholders are seeking damages for up to $2-billion (U.S.). In January, Judge Folsom threw Canadian shareholders out of the case, saying stocks bought on Canadian exchanges were not covered by U.S. law.
