HEY, WAAAAAY COOL!! We live on Ulloa St. up the block from Claremont, about five minutes' walk from the West Portal train station. We really like it -- West Portal St. is really retro, not yet taken over by the Gap and so on like Union St. or Chestnut. Don't expect it to last forever, a lot of the older people who have lived there for decades are dying off and new 30 and 40 somthings are moving in. Starbucks just opened as well as a wrap place and juice bar. But it's nice while it lasts anyway.

FYI, Paradise Pizza on West Portal makes the sine qua non of pizza crusts. All true SF aficianados agree.
