Yet another stellar quarter for IMG. This quarter, it's problems in Asia causing the rotten profits. The thing I like about this company is its versatile use of excuses and the ability to recycle excuses even after they have been used many times in the past. You pick: poor weather; poor timing of shipments; poor tax rates; lots of competition; poor performance by third party marketers ; loss of government contracts; Asian financial crisis (this is a good one to keep using until Asia starts to recover then I'm afraid it will have to be discarded). The only excuse they never mention is POOR INEPT MANAGEMENT. But remember, Rosner himself has said in the past that the American financial markets focus entirely too much on quarter to quarter performance. What are they thinking?
