mr. martini....re: rolling on the river...simply "PUT" couldn't agree more....sometimes a down market near expiration treats you better than an up market...a bit perverse...most can't grasp the concept, that unlike margin buying you do not accrue more debt as you roll a loser forward, in fact you create more capital and expand credit capacity....it affords a bullish posture in a bear phase... let the others buy calls/puts....perhaps we "lose opportunity"...but the strategy has been effective regardless of market...never a margin call, rarely a stock put...and cost basis if put just rolls down... as usual,my friend, good luck...ed a.
