A reasonable response.

<< My guess is Microsoft. However, I think that its more likely to be a joint venture involving a capital infusion>>

The problem is, MSFT couldn't help WaveTop by putting it in Win98. So, what do they do now?

<<if he is correct about WAVO's inband technology (180kb), that combined with their PBS National Datacast contract makes them an attractive for those who vision a PC/TV convergence, namely, Microsoft.>>

But, PC/TV convergence will be on the new two-way digital settop boxes. And most will be digital. In that case, data will be delivered over the cable using IP packets. So, you don't need any of the old VBI type technology. The data has its own pathway and doesn't need to be put in a sub-band of an existing channel.

Internet and PC/TV convergence make WAVO obsolete, not more relevant.

And the question still remains:

What do they have of value?
