At some point, CPQ, IBM, DELL and the other tech Bellweathers have to come out with preannouncements to support all the babble that the Street has been spewing all over CNBC and Bloomberg.

If these preannouncements don't come soon, you will see some analysts (those that have not already made a call on preannouncements) scrambling to make positive comments about how they are "comfortable with the company's original guidance", and this will move the market forward.

Folks, this is where reputations and bonuses are made. I sense a ton of uncertainty this Q from the analysts I talk to about where things are going to play out. I have said many times, because of DELL's miss last Q, many analysts have been quick to issues downgrades/revisions at the first sign of blood even without confirmation from the companies they cover. At some point, if the big techs don't confirm all these doom and gloom forecasts, the rubber band will launch us in a positive direction.

Just too soon right now to see it happen as there is still time for preannouncements to be made. I am holding my breadth.
